Atelophobia

I wonder how many projects suffer from Atelophobia. Is this what causes projects/efforts to spin and spin on getting done? Rather than asking “can this thing we’re building do the job,” we ask instead “is it perfect for the job yet?” When shoveling the inches of snow received in MN today, did I make sure I got every flake off the sidewalk? No. The sidewalk is passable and it’s darn cold outside and I’m going in… so, it’s good enough. How do we test for good enough in our projects? How do we accept it and set expectations for it?
